<p>A marine anchor (10) is described which has a shank (12) having a leading end (8) for attachment to a cable and a general double-bladed ploughshare shaped fluke fixed to the shank with the blades (16) disposed symmetrically about the median plane of the shank. The leading ends of the blades terminate in a single apex and the trailing ends (21) of each blade diverges outwardly from said medial plane, each blade having a generally inwardly dished shape. The blades can be curved or consist of at least two flat angled surfaces.</p> |
