<p>The drilling disc, coupled to rotary drive, is mounted in a forward-driven shield sheath, and fitted with surface pieces supporting the face, and with cutting devices, on a machine driving forward for tunnel construction in loose ground, such as sand. The disc is a helical drilling disc (6), with shallow pitch, seated on an axially open tube, and completely closed outside this. Behind its cutting edges (12) there are rearward-closed scoop troughs (13), feeding spirally into the tube, and in their vicinity the disc is fitted with tangentially effective vibrators.</p> |
