<p>Magnetic polarity of at least an edge portion of a magnetic recording medium represents a code for determining the truth of the recording medium. Magnetic polarities at the edge portion are detected, and a combination of polarities is collated with a proper combination to determine the truth of the magnetic recording medium.</p> |
