A photographic material comprises a cellulose ester support, at least one silver halide emulsion layer, and at least one subbing layer between the support and the emulsion layer, said subbing layer containing a hydrophilic polymer e. g. gelatine and 1, 3-dihydroxy benzene to improve adhesion of the layers. The subbing layer may contain a hardener e. g. formaldehyde, and salicylic acid, and be separated from the emulsion layer by a gelatine layer. The support may be cellulose triacetate coated with N-butylacrylamide/methyl methacrylate/butyl acrylate copolymer. |
