In order to erect a platform which can be used in the building industry, in particular as a working ledge, at least two support frames (1, 2) are set up at a distance from one another. The support frames each exhibit a crossmember (6) which is held by vertical load-bearing members (3, 4). Platform elements (14) are laid onto the crossmembers (6) of the two support frames (1, 2). The vertical load-bearing members (3, 4) are assigned separate add-on parts (15) which exhibit a fastening device (32), for the releasable fastening of the add-on part (15) on the relevant load-bearing member (3, 4), as well as a retaining device (17, 18). On the retaining device there may be releasably fastened at least one connecting part (19, 20) which connects together the add-on parts (15) fitted on mutually facing vertical load-bearing members of adjacent support frames. <IMAGE>
