PURPOSE:To make an operator not necessitate waiting time till the termination of the copying of a preceding original in order to insert a succeeding original by making a copying machine read the next original even in the midst of the copying of plural sheets of copies. CONSTITUTION:A system control device 302 writes the picture information of a first sheet of the original read by a reading device 100 in the page memory A of a picture memory 301. The written picture information is read by a copy circuit 500 so as to make plural sheets of copies. During this copying, a second sheet of the original is read by the device 100, and is written in the page memory B. After it is finished, a third sheet of the original is read by the device 100, and is written in the page memory C. After the copying of the first sheet of the original is finished, the picture information is read out of the page memory B, and the copying of the second sheet of the original is started, and simultaneously, the read of the next original comes possible, and the picture information of a fourth sheet of the original is written in the page memory A. |
