PURPOSE:To prevent such a trouble that the toner offset onto a heater roll is again transferred to copying paper for a long period by providing an oil supplying means which supplies oil to a belt from the inside. CONSTITUTION:A heater roll 12 is press-contacted with a pressing member 11 at a fixing position (a) and fixes the toner image on the lower surface of copying paper rotationally fed counterclockwise. An oil supplying mechanism 13 is composed of a pair of oil rolls 14 and 14 and an oil-impregnating belt 15 which is made of reinforced felt, etc., stretched between the rolls 14 and 14 and brought into contact with the heater roll 12 over its full length. Therefore, oil is applied to the surface of the rotating heater roll 12 at the fixing time by means of the belt 15 which is made of felt, etc., and supplied with the oil by an oil supplying means 18 from the inside, and the surface of roll 12 is cleaned by the belt. The length of the belt can be set to several times as long as the circumference of the oil rolls 14. Thus such a trouble that the toner offset onto the heater roll is again transferred to recording paper can be prevented for a long period. |
