PURPOSE:To obtain a perfume composition containing 2-hydroxy-1,8-cineole, etc., and 1-menthol, retaining and enhancing refreshing feeling, having improved perfume and aroma and useful for oral cavity sanitary product, etc. CONSTITUTION:2-Hydroxy-1,8-cineole expressed by formula I and/or 2- hydroxy-1,4-cineole expressed by formula II and 1-menthol are contained in the aimed composition. As the 1-menthol, 1-menthol synthesized or isolated from essential oil is sufficiently used and further, e. g., Japanese peppermint oil or peppermint oil may be also used. The blend ratio of the compound expressed by formula I and the compound expressed by formula II is 0.001:1-1:1, especially preferably 0.01:1-0.1:1(wt. ratio). It is preferable so as to express refreshing feeling that 1-menthol is contained at an amount of 10-60wt.% in total composition. |
