PURPOSE:To obtain a consolidation preventive for calcium chloride which is cheap and ensures high effectiveness and which comprises a particular cane sugar fatty acid ester. CONSTITUTION:This consolidation preventive contains a cane sugar fatty acid having an HLB value of up to 6 as an active ingredient. Any calcium chloride may be used irrespective of history thereof, and the shape of calcium chloride is not limited. The calcium chloride may be in any form, including a powdery form, a crystalline form and a granular form. The cane sugar fatty acid ester is pref. a cane sugar having the hydrogen atoms of 1-3 hydroxyl groups, out of the eight originally possessed by the cane sugar, substd. with an 18-22C higher fatty acid residue, such as that of palmitic, stearic, arachic, behenic or oleic acid. Since it is pref. that the HLB be 6 or lower, or esp. 5 or lower, so as to have hydrophobicity, the substd. fatty acid residue is pref. a satd. fatty acid residue. |
