<p>PURPOSE:To attain cost-down of and simplify a sheet supply device by transporting sheets at certain intervals with a belt run continuously and with the negative pressure impressed continuously, and supplying sheets and stopping without turning on and off the negative pressure. CONSTITUTION:A belt 1 is rotated continuously at all times, and the negative pressure is impressed continuously, and when a group of sheet attracting holes are positioned on the uppermost one of the sheets stacked horizontally, the leading sheet 3 is attracted by a belt 1 and transported. Until reaching a transport roller 2, the leading sheet 3 is transported while attracted to the belt 1 by the suction force of the sheet attracting holes. The belt 1 continues rotating, and when the sheet attracting holes are positioned on the next page sheet 4, it is attracted by the belt 1 and transported. Therein the relation A=L+l shall hold for, where A is circumferential length of the belt 1 of sheet supply device, L sheet intervals, and l sheet length in the feeding direction. Thus the sheets S can be transported at a constant interval L in the condition that the belt 1 is rotated continuously and the negative pressure is impressed continuously.</p> |
