1,174,067. Slip-rings. TELDIX LUFTFAHRT - AUSRUSTUNGS G.m.b.H. 16 Nov., 1966, No. 51299/66. Heading H2E. A slip-ring assembly comprises a cylindrical body formed of a plurality of electrically insulating, longitudinally extending portions and in which electrical connection to a slip-ring is made by a conductive strip or layer sandwiched between an adjacent pair of portions. The body may consist of semi-cylindrical or quartercylindrical prisms or, as shown, a number of stacked plates 1-5 of which those 2-5 each carry a cruciform conductive path extending from an exposed terminal end 2<SP>1</SP> to spaced locations 2<SP>11</SP>-5<SP>11</SP> where grooves 6-9 are subsequently machined. After turning, silver rings are deposited in the grooves. Several plates on which a repeated conductive pattern is formed may be assembled then cut to provide a plurality of bodies. Conductive paths provided on both surfaces of the plates may be insulated by separate layers or by the laminating adhesive. |
