A lumber is cross cut into thin sheets to have cross grain patterns, and defective sheets are patched with pieces obtained from the extra part of the original sheet for the holes produced due to nodes or other flaws. The sheets then are piled in layers with adhesive in between in the original order of cutting the sheets and pressed for adhesion into the original lumber form to be cut again in perepndicular to the original lumber form to be cut again in perpendicular to the original cutting direction and produce flawles cross grain sheets. With applications to flawed lumbers, the method icnreses the productibility of cross grain wood sheets to the effect of low production cost.
