The domestic water station has a housing (2) with an inlet connection piece (3) and an outlet connection piece (4). The two connection pieces are arranged running essentially horizontally and coaxially. The housing (2) receives a spring-loaded pressure-reducing valve unit (14) and is provided with a filter unit (5) flowed through by fresh water. The housing (2) also has a valve chamber (21) which is closed towards the outlet of the filter unit (5) and opens into the outlet connection piece (4). Above the valve chamber (21), there is provided a coaxially arranged pre-chamber (22), the pressure-reducing valve unit (14) being inserted sealingly with its valve part (18) into the valve chamber (21) and sealingly with its control part (17) into the pre-chamber (22). The outlet of the filter unit (5) is connected via overflow channels (24) to the pre-chamber (22) so that the valve part (18) is flowed through from the top downwards.
