PURPOSE: To obtain a scalp-treating composition comprising brittle microcapsules containing 6-piperidino-2,4-diaminopyrimidin-3-oxide and having a definite diameter and useful for restoration of hair and impeding of baldness. CONSTITUTION: This scalp treating composition is obtained by preparing microcapsules containing 6-piperidino-2,4-diaminopyrimidine-3-oxide and having 50-2500μm average diameter. It is preferable to add a softening agent oil (e.g. mineral oil or castor oil) and a thickener, especially polymeric thickener (e.g. polyolefin) thereto, because further sustainable effect is imparted to the composition. The oil and the thickener have 300-1500cp viscosity at 20 deg.C. The composition removes dead skin and scale and mildly stimulates scalp and comes into contact with scalp and trichocyte and permeates thereinto to exhibit the effect. In this time, it is especially advantageous to use breakable brittle microcapsules.
