<p>PURPOSE:To attain easily usable multiwindow display by switching a window displayed state and its undisplayed state based upon the display validity information of respective windows held in a holding means. CONSTITUTION:A display validity memory 17 stores display validity data indicating the validity/invalidity of window display. If an icon display 31-4 is picked up by a mouse 19 when a user intends to move his visual point to a window D at the time of displaying a window A which is not superposed to respective windows B-D, the contents of a window control memory 14 and a superposition order memory 16 are not changed, but the contents of the memory 17 are changed. Namely, all the windows in the memory 17 having superposition order levels higher than that of the window D commanded to be displayed are turned to the undisplayed state and a display screen can be observed as if the visual point is moved to the depth of the window D. Thus, multiwindow display made easily usable by moving a visual point in the superposing direction of windows can be attained.</p> |
