NICKEL CADMIUM STORAGE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the life of a battery having a paste type cadmium electrode containing magnesium hydroxide in a cadmium active layer and a nickel porous layer as a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A paste type cadmium electrode having a nickel porous layer containing metallic cadmium on a cadmium active material which is applied to a conductive core and containing magnesium hydroxide in the cadmium active material layer and the nickel porous layer is used as a negative electrode. By using the cadmium negative electrode having the nickel porous layer containing fine metallic cadmium, the dissolution and diffusion of discharge products in a high temperature region are prevented and charge-discharge cycles are remarkably increased.
