<p>An involuntary oscillator device (10) is disclosed having an intraoral-extraoral appliance (11) mounted onto the upper and lower arches (4, 6). A linear stepper motor forcibly imparts oscillating motion to the appliance. During one-half cycle of oscillation the lower arch (6) is forced to move away from the upper arch (4), and during the other one-half cycle the lower arch is forced to move toward the upper arch. A programmable digital computer and an electronic network drive the motor and adjusts the parameters of the oscillating motion.</p> |
