An off-the-road vehicle, typically an agricultural tractor, has a cab (10) pivotally mounted on the chassis (12) about a pivot axis (18) extending transversely of the cab at the forward end thereof between the front and rear wheels (16 and 14) of the tractor and in a horizontal plane in or adjacent the horizontal plane containing the centre of gravity of the cab. The cab is also connected to the chassis by gas spring suspension units (22) mounted between rearward corners (24) of the cab and the chassis. In one embodiment of the invention the pivot axis (18) of the cab is fixed relative to the chassis whereas in an alternative embodiment the pivot axis of the cab is movable longitudinally of the chassis against resilient biasing means. |
