CONSTITUTION:A filler 1 consisting of the metal powders of >=2 kinds including the metal powder contg. the S and other metal powders is filled at the following ratio into the hollow part of a seamless hollow metal sheath 2: The ratio is specified to metal powder mass/metal sheath mass=1/19-1/4. The content of the S in the entire part of the filler added with the metal powder mass and the metal sheath mass needs be confined to <=(0.010-0.200). The resulted filler metal for TIG root pass is formed, for example, by using an ordinary metal material such as ordinary steel contg. alloy elements at lower ratios as the metal sheath and adding the required chemical components of the weld metal mainly in the form of metal powders thereto. Penetration beads are thereby easily formed. |
