PURPOSE:To suppress the noise of a cage and grating sound and elongate a bearing life by making the pocket surface of a cage being a spherical surface having a curvature center on the pitch circle of a ball, changing the thickness of the cage between the inward and outward pitch circles, and forming the circumferential portion into a spindle shape. CONSTITUTION:The vertical cross section of each pocket of cages 10 with thickness (T) is made into a spherical surface which is almost the same shape of a ball 3 with radius (R), its radius of curvature R1 is made equal to the ball radius (R) plus the gap C1, its curvature center 01 is set on the ball pitch circle PC, and the thickness T1 on the outer side of the pitch circle PC is made longer than the thickness T2 on the inner side. The pocket cross section shape in the direction along with the circle of the cage 10 is also composed of a pair of arcs, which have the same diameter and are curved in the opposite direction each other and placed face to face symmetrically, and it is formed into a spindle-like shape longer in the circle direction while shorter in the axial direction. Idle vibration of the cage is thus suppressed and its noise is lowered and grating sound as well is suppressed due to sufficient lubrication, resulting in a long service life of the bearing. |
