PURPOSE:To attain level compression and expansion with high fidelity by operating a gain rate of change adjustment means and a setting means for gain operating time and restoring time corresponding to kinds of musics by the control switch so as to vary the frequency characteristic of the sound quality adjustment circuit. CONSTITUTION:Switches SW1, SW2 are switched interlockingly by a control signal from a processing unit 23 realized by a microcomputer or the like. Then with A contact P1 of the switch SW1 selected, a DC level led to a line 11 reaches a maximum value. AD integration type time constant circuit 32 is connected to the line 11 and the time constant at the level fluctuation of the line 11 is adjusted based on the time constant selected by a time setting means 22 via a line 14 by the time constant circuit 32. Thus, the difference from the energy balance for each frequency band of the sound source due to the difference from kinds of the music is absorbed and reproduction with high fidelity against the deterioration in the sound quality is attained. |
