PURPOSE:To improve the oxidation resistance and strength of a molded body of silicon-contg. ceramics at high temp. by impregnating a soln. contg. a silicon- contg. high molecular compd. having repeating structural units represented by a specified general formula into the molded body and by calcining the molded body at a prescribed temp. CONSTITUTION:A silicon-contg. high molecular compd. having repeating structural units represented by the general formula [where (m) is 0 or an integer of 1-20, (n) is 1, 2 or 3, R<1> is H, alkyl, aryl or halogen, R<2> is alkylene or phenylene and each of R<1> and R<2> may contain a functional group such as COOH, NH2, Cl or OH] is prepd. A soln. contg. the compd. is impregnated into a molded body of silicon-contg. ceramics and the molded body is calcined at 500-2,500 deg.C. |
