A PROCESS AND REAGENT FOR THE SPECIFIC DETERMINATION OF HDL CHOLESTEROL IN SERUM OF PLASMA

The method of quantitively determining HDL cholesterol in serum or blood plasma and its reagents are presented. Thus the samples are incubated in the medium containing bile acid, derivatives of bile acid or diothylsulfosuccinate and the amount of cholesterol is measured. The cleaning amterial containing nonionic polyethylene oxide or secondary alkanesulfonate are added to the above broth and incubated. The content of cholesterol in the culture broth is measured. The amount of HDL cholesterol is measured from the difference between two measurement values.
