PURPOSE:To provide the subject suspended body floating on the surface of water to adsorb and remove hydrophobic substances injuring health, etc., by attaching a supplement for strength and buoyancy to a hydrophobic open cell type synthetic resin foam and providing the formed main body with stabilizers for keeping the installation position of the main body and corresponding to the fluctuation of water levels. CONSTITUTION:A supplement S (e.g., a hard vinyl chloride resin tube whose both ends are closed) for strength and buoyancy is attached to a pollution- removing adsorbent B comprising an open cell type synthetic resin foam such as a hydrophobic polyurethane foam having physical properties accepting the normal growth of plants to form a main body. The main body is provided with stabilizers F to allow to correspond to the keeping of the installation position of the main body and to the fluctuation of water levels, thereby constantly adsorbing hydrophobic substances (e.g., oils polluting water surfaces) from a water region in which the suspended body is installed. |
