PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having superior electrostatic chargeability, fixability and cleanability by adhering and fixing fine particles having specified characteristics on the surfaces of core particles contg. a colorant and having specified characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Fine particles having 60-150 deg.C glass transition point (Tg) are adhered and fixed on the surfaces of core particles contg. the colorant and having <=150 deg.C softening point (Tm) and 3,000-20,000 number average molecular weight (Mn) to obtain the toner. The fie particles are firmly fixed on the surfaces of the core particles and the toner has a rugged structure formed by coating the surfaces of the core particles with the fine particles retaining the original spherical shape. The average particle size of the core particles is regulated to <=20mum and that of the fine particles to 0.1-1mum, preferably 0.2-0.8mum. The toner has superior electrostatic chargeability, cleanability and fixability especially at low temp. |
