PURPOSE:To miniaturize a titled sensor and to enable the detection of the change in a specified temp., by detecting the phase change of a solid-liquid phase changing material optically. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted by a luminous body 8 passes through the going path 5 of an optical fiber 4 and enters the inside of a sealed vessel 2, where the light transmits through a solid-liquid phase changing material 3. The transmitted light passes through the returning path 6 of the fiber 4 and arrives at a photodetector 9, then the light is detected with a detecting circuit 10. Since the transmittance of the light in the material 3 differs in the solid phase and the light phase, the quantity of the light entering the photodetector 9 changes; therefore, the phase changing temp. is detected. |
