PURPOSE:To enable the locking and releasing of automatic cruising with an operation only with both feet by providing an engagement piece on one of forward and backward travel pedals and forming a plurality of tooth pieces capable of gearing with and detachable from the engagement piece on an engagement arm connected with an automatic cruising pedal. CONSTITUTION:When an auto-cruising pedal 15 is stepped down with a forward travel pedal 13 stepped, a lever 25 turns counter-clockwise about an axis 23 and pulls a rod 29. As a result, an engagement arm 27 turns backward. Then, the lower tooth piece 33 of the engagement arm 27 and the engagement piece 34 of the forward travel pedal 13 gear with each other and, therefore, the forward travel pedal 13 is locked at the turned position thereof, thereby giving an auto-cruising mode. On the other hand, when the auto-cruising pedal 15 is stepped down with a backward travel pedal 14 stepped, the forward travel pedal 13 stands and the engagement arm 27 moves further backward. Then, the upper tooth piece 32 of the engagement arm 27 gears with the engagement piece 34 of the forward travel pedal 13. |
