The invention relates to a downhill ski boot articulated at the front of the foot, enabling the user to jump while skiing more easily and more naturally, while preserving the rigidity of a conventional ski boot when pivoting and edging on skis. The variant illustrated consists of a shell 5 articulated by means of rivets 4a on the front part 3a of the boot integral with the rigid sole 3. It also includes a rigid outer support structure 1 integral with the said rigid sole 3, which transmits the substantially horizontal front and rear supports of the articulated upper 8 via the adjustable spring 33 and front tilt 37 devices. The self-blocking buckle 41 makes it possible to adjust the height of the centre of the spring 34 of the said device 33 and thus to adjust the relationship of the horizontal components (forward-bearing flex control) and vertical components (control of the pivoting of the shell 5 of the said device 33. <IMAGE>
