PURPOSE:To easily obtain various variations in timbre by storing plural divided pieces of waveform information in frequency bands and varying the synthesization ratio of pieces of waveform information corresponding to an external control signal generated through play operation. CONSTITUTION:A press input detected by a press sensor 1 according to the playing operation of a player is supplied to a CPU 3, which outputs this press input and a control signal to an address controller 5 as the external control signal; and they are divided into, for example, two frequency bands and applied to waveform memories 6-1 and 6-2. Then they are read out by scaling at the pitch of a musical sound to be generated and the read waveform signals are supplied to multipliers 7 and 8 and data from a mixing level controller 9 are applied; and the synthesization ratio is varied corresponding to the external control signal generated by the play operation and the harmonic tone spectrum of the synthesized waveform information is brought under variable control. Consequently, various variations in timbre are easily obtained. |
