A pressing table with a double vibrating system is mounted on a column attached to frame and can be moved by two hydraulic cylinders. The bearing plate which forms the top surface of the table is normally supported by springs, but when sufficient load is applied to it, it is pressed against the lower part of the table. Surface plate receives the pattern holder with the pattern, which are held in the arm of a rotating support. Above this is a mould box which is moved into position on a conveyor, and above this is movable filling frame. The filling mechanism consists of two independent parts - i.e. a sand container with sliding plates, is provided above the filling frame. After filling and vibration of the mould box, pressure plate is moved into position and hydraulic cylinders compress the mould against it. ADVANTAGE - Filling and compression of the moulding sand is more evenly and uniformly achieved than with existing moulding machines.
