The machine for removing the husks from rice and then polishing the grains, consists of a first drum 8), which is provided with a blade (16) for removing the husks, and a second drum (22) which polishes the grains. These two drums (8,22) are mounted coaxially in a common driving shaft (12) and are enclosed in a cylindrical sieve (13). The two drums (8,22) are separated by a wall (19) and are enclosed in a housing (4,11) which is made from sheet steel which is impact and fracture resistant. USE - Polishing rice.
