A hydraulic unit, in particular a valve block, is presented which contains at least one solenoid valve. The mechanical parts (20, 21, 22, 23, 24) of the solenoid valve are surrounded by a sleeve (19) which is clamped between two connecting plates (15, 16) having hydraulic passages (34, 35). The electromagnetic components (29, 30) of the valve are arranged outside the sleeve. The caulking of the valve inserts is avoided by the invention. <IMAGE>
