A rotorcraft rotor hub 11 has at least one pair of diametrically opposed blades 12 the or each pair being connected by universal joints 13, 14 to the opposite ends of at least one strap 15, 15a carried within the hub, one of the joints 14 being slidable within the hub along the blade longitudinal axis. The pitch of the blades may be adjusted collectively or cyclically during rotation. The rotor may be driven via a shaft 18 from a drive gear-box. The joints 13, 14 may be dry or lubricated. The straps 15, 15a may be made up of steel laminations. The rotor may comprise two, four, six or eight blades. |
