MAGNETIC HEAD MOVING CONTROLLER FOR MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE

PURPOSE:To adjust the moving time of a magnetic head automatically by applying drive control to the magnetic head based on an error speed signal corrected in response to the actual moving elapsed time of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A timer 100 started attended with the movement of the magnetic head 10 is counted synchronously with the clock signal outputted from a main control circuit 105 and the actual moving elapse time of the magnetic head 10 is counted. Then the moving elapsed time and an object moving time are subtracted in the reducer 10 to obtain an error time. Then the amplitude (weight) of the object speed signal is adjusted by the gain data after correction and the result is given to a subtractor 23, the object speed signal after adjustment is subtracted from the actual speed signal to generate the error speed signal and a voice coil motor (VCM) driver 25 applies drive control to a voice coil motor 26 based thereupon. Thus, the magnetic head is always moved in a prescribed moving time.
