<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily perform a connecting operation of a gasket by providing air-tight packings in a gasket made of shape memory alloys extending or contracting by heating or cooling it to a preset temperature. CONSTITUTION:A gasket body 1 made of shape memory alloys is extended or contracted by heating or cooling it to a preset temperature, and air-tight packings 2 are loaded on the side faces of the gasket body 1. The gasket body 1 is placed between the flanges of a wave guide 4, etc., and connected to the wave guide by connecting pins 3, etc. When the gasket body is heated by a heater, etc., under the condition, the gasket body 1 is expanded to form a fully airtight structure. The removal of the gasket is performed by cooling and contracting it. As a result, the time of connecting operation can be easily shortened and the operability can be also easily improved.</p> |
