PURPOSE:To reduce the luminous intensity distribution difference in the direction of the rotation axis of an image carrier of a light irradiating means by providing a light shielding member between the image carrier and the light irradiating means, which carries out uniform light exposure to the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:The light shielding member 18 is provided between the image carrier 1 and the light irradiating means 13, which carries out uniform light exposure on the image carrier 1. That is, the light shielding member 18 is formed integrally with a house 16 in terms of construction in an opening 17 of a house 16 provided in the device main body along with a supporting substrate 14 of the light irradiating means 13, in the nearly central front facing part of the light irradiating means 13. Thus a part where the luminous intensity is the greatest in the light irradiating means 13 is shielded and the light amount is reduced, thus improving the uniformity of luminous intensity distribution, and evading light fatigue of a photosensitive body 1. |
