摘要 A method is specified for cooling a three-phase alternator which is driven by an internal combustion engine. The excitation winding (7) of the three-phase alternator consists of claw magnets (9) and a cylindrical core (8) so that an oil passage (12, 13) is formed in the zones in which the cylindrical core (8) and the rotor shaft (3) are opposite one another and in the zones in which the cylindrical core (8) and the claw magnet pole (9) are opposite one another. This oil passage (12, 13) is connected at one end to an oil supply located outside the three-phase alternator, so that oil can be introduced into the oil passage during operation of the three-phase alternator; a centrifugal force acts on the oil as a result of the rotation of the rotating excitation winding, so that the oil is sprayed onto the stator winding (23) in the form of vapour or mist. <IMAGE>
