<p>PURPOSE:To enhance propagation ratio of young seedlings, by dividing polyblastic bodies prepared by culturing growth points in an early stage into a suitable number in a method for propagating a large amount of strawberry young seedlings by tissue culture. CONSTITUTION:Growth points of strawberry are cultured in an agar culture medium containing a phytohormone to form polyblastic bodies, which are then cultured. When the size of the polyblastic bodies grown to 15-20mm, the polyblastic bodies are divided into 3-5 part of about 8mm size. The above- mentioned operation is repeated to afford a large amount of the aimed young seedlings.</p> |
