1,057,273. Photographic transfer process. GEVAERT PHOTO-PRODUCTEN N.V. Feb.3, 1964, No.4548/64. Heading G2C. In a silver salt diffusion transfer process, a material comprising a support coated with a silver halide emulsion layer and then with a waterpermeable colloid layer, either layer containing hydroquinone and a 3-pyrazolidone or these developers being in another water-permeable layer in contact with the emulsion layer, is imagewise exposed and contacted with an image-receiving material containing development nuclei and hydroquinone in the presence of an alkaline liquid. Specified water-permeable colloids are celluloses, starches, sodium alginate, gum tragacanth, polyvinyl and polyacrylic compounds and polyoxyethylene. The image-receiving material may contain hydroquinone, and alkali metal metabisulphite, a watersoluble inorganic bisulphite or a water-soluble aldehyde bisulphide and cobalt sulphide is development nuclei. The gelatine silver halide emulsion layer may be hardened before exposure with formaldehyde. |
