PURPOSE:To perform the point tracking of a strip accurately in simple constitution, by providing detecting means of the thickness of strip respectively to plural stands. CONSTITUTION:By an operation pitch command outputted from a counter 10, an arithmetic device 11 calculates repeatedly a moving quantity bi of a strip at a stand 4i basing on the thicknesses hi and hj of the strip 2 and an output C of a counter 9. When the strip thickness hj and the strip moving quantity at the outlet side of the stand 4j and the thickness hi at the outlet side of the stand 4i are obtained, the moving quantity bi of the strip 2 at the stand 4i is obtained. That is, by changing a thickness signal changeover device 15, a point tracking ranging from the heading stand to the final one is made possible only by detecting the thickness of strip at the outlet sides of all stands, respectively. |
