PURPOSE:To permit the release by a small force by allowing a stopper member engaged with the engagement teeth on the outer peripheral edge of an engaging member formed integrally with the pedal of a foot stepping type parking brake to be swung in parallel freely by the cam mechanism of an adjusting member which is swung by an electromagnetic actuator. CONSTITUTION:Engagement teeth 15b are formed on the outer peripheral edge of an engaging member 15 formed integrally with a pedal arm for supporting the pedal of a foot stepping-on type parking brake, and can be freely engaged with the ratchet hook 23a of a stopper member 23. The stopper member 23 is pivotally supported onto a pin 27, which is pivotally supported onto a release member 22 which can be freely swung, and engaged with the cam groove 35 of an adjusting plate 24 connected with an electromagnetic actuator 21. In the release operation. the stopper member 23 can be swung in parallel with the pin 27 through the cam groove 35 and the release member 22 by turning the adjusting plate 24 in the clockwise direction, and the operating force is reduced. |
