<p>The upper transporter (4) moves full cases towards the emptying station (2), so that the rods contained in the cases (9) enter the horizontal conduit (15). The empty cases are picked up again by the elevator (7). The transporter (5) feeds empty cases to the input of the filling station (3), into which the rods flow from the conduit (15). The full cases are picked up on the elevator (7) or on the transporter (6) which can pass them, via the elevator (8) or the elevator (7), to a storage position either on the transporter (5) or on the transporter (4).
