COMPLEX SEPARATION AGENT AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To raise the mechanical strength and improve the property for liquid to pass through, by enclosing hydrophilic-polymer granular separation agent having macromesh structure in hydrophilic-polymer particle of porous structure having specific degree of swelling in water and bridge formation. CONSTITUTION:Hydrophilic-polymer granular separation agent of macromesh structure having swelling degree in water of 10-100ml/g-dry is caused to be dispersed in sphere-formation liquid containing pore-formation agent of mixture of monomer for use in formation of hydrophilic-polymer particle of porous structure having swelling degree in water of 20ml/g or less and bridge formation degree of 4-50mole%, or in sphere-formation liquid drops of raw polymer solution before bridge formation, following which polymerization reaction of the mixture of monomer or insolubilization and bridge formation reaction of raw polymer is effected to produce complex separation agent in which separation agent of macromesh structure is enclosed in hydrophilic-polymer particle of porous structure.
