<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R<1> is H, lower alkyl, hydroxyl-lower alkyl or phenyl; R<2> is H or protecting group of OH group). EXAMPLE:5-(Phenylethyn-1-yl)-1-beta-D-ribofuranosylimidazole-4carbonit rile. USE:An antitumor agent. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II (X is halogen) is reacted with an acetylenic derivative expressed by formula III (R<1>' is silyl, lower alkyl, hydroxy-lower alkyl or phenyl) to remove the silyl group when R<1>' is silyl. The protecting group ot R<2>, as necessary, is removed to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I.</p> |
