<p>PURPOSE:To drive the display device with small-sized constitution and low power consumption by providing a display element through CCDs which transfers charges horizontally and vertically and a gate circuit which selects plural vertical CCDs and leads charges out. CONSTITUTION:A video signal Vi is transferred from horizontal CCDs 2 to vertical CCDs 3 in order. A Y-line address scanner 4 specifies transfer positions for charges transferred from the CCDs 3 and an X-line address scanner 5 specifies charge transfer positions of the CCDs 2. The display element P is provided at the intersection of an X axis and a Y axis through the gate circuit, and then a TV display device displays an image plane based upon the signal Vi. This display transfer charges by using the horizontal and vertical CCDs and is provided with high-density display elements, so a sharp display is obtained with the small-sized constitution, and the gate is constituted in MOS structure, so the power consumption is suppressed low.</p> |
