PURPOSE:To prevent surface defect at the time of changing cast slab width and to improve the yield by engaging the whole short side supporting member for short side group with one side of an endless guide rail at inner side or outer side and also engaging a part of supporting member with the other side of the endless guide rail to enable expansion/shrinkage between engaging parts. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of the guide rail of the inner guide rail 12 and the outer guide rail 13 are arranged as doubling to long side face direction of a mold in each right or left short side group 11. Then, the short side supporting member of the whole short side unit in each short side group 11 is engaged with either the inner guide rail 12 or the outer guide rail 13. Further, each short side supporting member for the short side group 11 constituted with number of the short side unit over at least more than length contacting with the cast slab 5 is also engaged with the other guide rail 13 or 12 and the short side group 11 is constituted with two short side unit group (a), (b). Successively, the short side supporting member of the group engaging with both guide rails 12, 13 of the outer and the inner is constituted as expansible/shrinkable and both guide rails 12, 13 are changeable to gap between both. |
