PURPOSE:To easily and automatically copy additional information required other than an original image and to improve its operability by providing an information adding device which selectively projects light to light transmission additional information formed on a belt in the vicinity of an image carrier and forms an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the additional information on the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with the start of copying operation, a sheet, magnification, the number of copies, etc., are specified according to the instructions of a control panel. A mode to write additional information is selected through a selection key, and a first numeral and a copying position are designated on a display part. When copying starts, a photosensitive body 11 rotates, reaches an exposing part 16 to be exposed. When the copying position of the photosensitive body 11 comes to an exposing one, a solenoid 31 is turned on, the an unexposed part of the photosensitive body 11 reaches a position to face the information adding device 23 owing to the interruption of a shutter 30. In this state, a light source unit 38 is lit by a controller, and exposes the photosensitive body 11, thereby additional information required for the original image is copied automatically and easily. |
