PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of the sensitive material and to enhance the optical density of a cyan image and to suppress color loss even if the sensitive material is processed with an exhausted bleaching (fixing) solution by incorporating a specified cyan coupler in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The cyan dye forming coupler shown by formula I is incorpo rated in the silver halide emulsion layer contd. in the sensitive material. In the formula, R1 is a substd. (or unsubstd.)alkyl or aryl group, R2 and R3 are each a substd. (or unsubstd.)aryl group, J is -NH- or -O- group. The coupler shown by the formula I is composed of a compd. shown by formula II. A com plex salt of a polyvalent metal cation such as Fe(III), Co(III) or Sn(III) etc., and an org. acid, etc. (such as iron ammonium ethylene diamine tetraacetate) can be used for the bleaching agent. |
