PURPOSE:To quicken measurement and to improve safety by arranging an angle gage and one pair of displacement gages to a reference standard of length satisfying the specific condition and shifting the reference standard stored in a frame in passage of a cast slab. CONSTITUTION:The reference standard 1 sliding along a line of outside guide rolls 2 is fitted to the frame 5, and the angle gage 4 is fitted to the center part thereof. Then, the length (l) of linear plane part of the guide gage 1 is made so as to satisfy the inequality I. Further, elastic body 8 is set between the reference standard 1 and an inner roll pushing plate 7 and the displacement gages 9, 10 for outside guide roll and for inner side guide roll. The reference standard 1 is shifted in the passage of the cast slab between the rolls together with the frame 5, and at the same time, interval between the guide rolls and angle between the rolls are measured with the displacement gages 9, 10 and the angle gage 4. By simplifying the work, the measurement is quickened and the stability of the measuring work is improved. |
