PURPOSE:To suppress the stress of a developer and to extend the life of the developer by setting the inter-pole angles of a developer releasing magnetic pole and developer carrying magnetic pole in such a manner that these two magnetic poles form the napping state of the developer nearly continuously between both the magnetic poles. CONSTITUTION:The developer releasing magnetic pole S23 which releases the developer from a magnet roller 6 for carrying and the developer carrying magnetic pole N22 formed just before the developer releasing magnetic pole S23 on the developer carrying passage Y thereof are so set in the inter-pole angle between the magnetic poles S23 and N22 that the napping state of the developer is formed nearly continuously across these two magnetic poles S23 and N22. The developers are sufficiently scraped off by the front end of a scraper 7 when the napping state of the developers is obtd. over the wide range of the magnet roller 6 for carrying from the magnetic pole S23 to the magnetic pole N22 in accordance with the rotation of a nonmagnetic sleeve 6a. The stress of the developer is thereby suppressed and the life of the developer is extended without passing the developer in the spacing between the scraper and the magnet roller for carrying. |
